The body of a 10-year old boy was found in a water body near their house in the city’s Khilgaon area on Tuesday morning. The deceased went missing from Nandipara of Khilgaon on March 19 (Sunday).
The victim has been identified as Al Amin, son of Abul Hossain, resident of Nandipara, said Sub-Inspector Faruk of Khilgaon Police Station.
Police recovered the decomposed body after locals found it floating in the water body around 11:00am, the SI said.
Al Amin did not know swimming and might have drowned in the water body, the police official said.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, he added.
