Wife of a Assistant Sub-Inspector of Gazipur Industrial Police was killed when miscreants chopped her indiscriminately storming their house at Mirzapur in Tangail on Monday. The ASI was also severely injured in the attack when he tried to save his wife.
The victim was identified as Shiply Begum. Locals rushed her to Kumudini Hospital in a critical condition where on-duty doctors declared her dead. On the other hand, SI Mamun was shifted to Dhaka for better treatment.
According to a report
carried yesterday by Bangla Tribune online version, the SI Firoz Al Mamun came to his Mirzapur residence a few days ago to pass his holiday period. Police recovered an axe from the spot.
Police suspect that it may a sequel of family feud and launcghed an investigation to find out the mystery behind the murder. Police also detained father of Mamun for interrogation.
