A youth was crashed and killed under the wheels of a truck as a miscreant allegedly pushed him down under the running truck at around 12:30 pm on Tuesday.
The dead was identified as Shariful Islam, 26, son of Yeakub Ali of Sirajshingha village under Jessore sadar upazila.
Alamgir Hossain, cousin of the dead told that his cousin died on the spot as M Hasan, mud carrying contractor, pushed off Shariful under a running truck which was used to carry mud for Prime -2 brick kiln at Ramnanar as he protested random plying of mud laded trucks on the road which ran from near his residence.
Ilias Hossain, officier in-charge, Kotwali police station confirmed the information saying that a case was lodged in this connection.
