BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was admitted to the United Hospital in the city on Thursday after falling sick suddenly.
BNP Senior Joint-Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that the party’s secretary general suddenly got sick while attending Namaj-e-Janaza of his uncle on Thursday morning.
Rizvi said that he was addressing a press briefing at the party’s central office in the capital.
BNP Chairperson’s Press Wing Member Shairul Kabir Khan told The New Nation, “Mirza Fakhrul was admitted to United Hospital around 8:30am. His health condition is stable and will recover soon.”
