Mosammat Nurunnahar Begum, mother of State Minister for Textiles and Jute and AL Central Working Committee Member Mirza Azam, died of old-age complications at Square Hospital in the capital on Thursday morning. She was 81.
She left behind six sons, two daughters and grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
She was buried at the family graveyard in Madarganj upazila after Isha prayers on Thursday.
Her first Namaz-e-Janaza was held in front of NAM Bhaban after Zohr prayers, second Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Kacharipara Shahi Mosque premises in Jamalpur district and her third Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Balizury High School field in Madarganj upazila.
