Miraz to play in Caribbean Premier League

Bangladeshi promising all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz will play in the ensuing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the Trinbago Knight Riders as a replacement for Australian Brad Hogg.
The 19-year-old talented cricketer from Khulna is the 3rd Bangladeshi cricketer to play in the CPL after Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal.
Tamim Iqbal played for Saint Lucia in 2013 while Shakib played two seasons in CPL and is set join Jamaica Tallawahs in the 5th edition of the tournament likely to begin on August 1.
Meanwhile, Miraz is likely to miss a few matches of the CPL as the tournament is will clash with Bangladesh’s scheduled home series against Pakistan.
Miraz started his international appearance through Test match and made an impressive debut at home series against England in Chittagong in October last year grabbing 19 wickets in two matches.
He made his ODI and T20 debut on Bangladesh’s recent tour of Sri Lanka. His domestic T20 debut came in the 2016 Bangladesh Premier League where he took 12 wickets in 15 matches for Rajshahi Kings.
