‘Magic Boy’ Mehedi Hasan Miraz went to his Khulna residence on Monday. Bangladesh defeated England by 108 runs in the second Test and finished the Test in three days. Thus, Miraz got more two days leisure. The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Twenty20 Cricket begins on November 4. After that, New Zealand will tour Bangladesh.
Right-arm off-spinner Miraz will play for Rajshahi Kings in the ensuing BPL.
Miraz reached the Jessore Airport in the Monday afternoon. Then went to his Khulna residence at 7.30 pm.
His mother received him and became emotional. She was crying after getting his world famed spinner. He fed his son sweet. In the mean time a good number of crowd gathered in front of his house.
After some time, Miraz found his coach Al Mahmud. Then he found his friends. Most of the inhabitants of his area became jubilant after getting him with them.
While receiving the guests, Miraz’s father Md Jalal Hossain said his son is now the pride of whole Bangladesh, not only of Khulna.
Local MP Mizanur Rahman, former MP Nazrul Islam, acting Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Anisur Rahman Biswas, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) councillor and Khulna Football Association president Advocate M Saiful Islam and people from all walks of life, including politicians, officers, sports organisers, mediamen and relatives visited Miraz’s house on Tuesday to greet him.
Miraz bagged seven wickets in his debutante Chittagong Test. He captured 12 wickets in Dhaka Test. He made some world records after getting chance in Bangladesh National Cricket team. The cricket world is engaged with conversation about Magic Miraz performances.
