Speaking at a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan central office, party senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi demanded the government ensure necessary security of the chief priest of the Buddhist Monastery.
“The government is worried about its illegal existence. It always tries to keep the country unstable as a plot to hang onto power. And this is how the lives of minority people have become more insecure under the rule of so-called secular regime,” he said. The BNP leader said the country’s different streets are being stained with the bloods of minority people for the government’s failure to ensure their security.
A few days after a similar threat to the head Hindu priest of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission in the capital, miscreants also issued a death threat to the chief of Dharmarajika Buddhist Monastery at Dhaka’s Basabo through a letter.
