Kurigram Correspondent :
A minor boy was slaughtered to death and his mother injured by unidentified miscreants at Saddam More in Bhurungamari upazila on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Rounak,5, son of Roknuzzaman, a resident of the area.
Quoting locals, police said a gang of miscreants stormed the house of Rokonuzzaman at night and slaughtered Rounak with sharp weapons when he along with his mother Parvin Akter and his brother Fuad was watching television, leaving him dead on the spot.
The miscreants also chopped Parvin Akter with sharp weapons when she tried to resist them, leaving her critically injured.
The injured was admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
