A minor girl was strangulated to death by her neighbour at Saikola Purbapara village in Chatmohar upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Humaira Akter Jim,2, daughter of Abul
Bashad of the village.
Police said a neighbour named Sabina Khatun, wife of Soleman, a resident of the village, took Jim in her lap at about 7:00 am.
Later, she strangulated Jim and kept the body under the bed in her room.
After a frantic search, the body of Jim was found in Sabina’s room.
