UNB, Gaibandha :
A minor girl died one day after suffering a severe allergic reaction to hornet sting at Uttar Harinsingha village in Sadar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Salma Khatun, 6, daughter of Sohel Miah of the village. Locals said Salma along with other children went to play near a bamboo cluster beside her house on Saturday morning.
Salma felt sick seriously as several hornets stung her after a child threw a brick chip at a hornet hive hanging from a bamboo in the cluster.
Salma was admitted to Sadar Hospital and later taken back to her home after some treatment, However, she died at her home early Sunday, said Obaidur Rahman, a of the deceased’s family.
