A minor girl has been abducted asking for ransom by the abductors on Tuesday afternoon from a prayer room at Achintapur village under Sadar upazila.
The kid is identified as Monira Khatun, 5 daughter of Ramjan Ali of Achintapur village under the upazila.
Father Ramjan Ali said, on Tuesday afternoon at around 5-30 pm after Asr prayer her father fell asleep in the prayer room closing to his house. At the time his daughter Monira also slept by his side. Waking up he did not find his daughter there. After frantic effort they could not find out her. At around 10.00 pm a mobile phone rang and asked Tk 3 lakh ransom for her release.
Officer in charge (OC) Biplob Kumar Nath of sadar police station said, an abduction case had been filed with sadar police station on Wednesday morning. The abductors had demanded Tk three lakh ransom, said the OC quoting the family members. They are trying to nab the abductors.
