A minor domestic worker has succumbed to her injuries at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) on Saturday allegedly after rape.
The 13-year old victim (Kajol alias Kajli), was daughter of a day labour (Hiron Howladar) of Khejurbari village under Saliabakpur Union of Banaripara Upazila of Barisal district.
Dr. Sirajul Islam, director of SBMCH, acknowledging the fact said we informed police as she died allegedly after torture and rape.
Dr. Tajmery Begum, register of Labour Unit-2, said, the victim was admitted at OCC in critical condition on 9th March and died due to over bleeding on 11th March early morning.
Abul Kalam, ward master of SBMCH, said dead body of the victim sent to morgue for autopsy.
Sajjad Hossain, officer in charge of Banaripara Police station, said no case was lodged till this report with this police station and case may be lodged with Jhalakathi Sadar police station as the place of occurrence was there.
