Bagharpara police recovered the body of an eleven -year child from the residence of the victim at Raipur village under Bagharpara upazila in Jessore on Friday.
The dead was identified as Habibullah, 11, student of class- III of Raipur Government Primary School and also son of late Ilias Hossain of Raipur village.
Shahjahan Ali, uncle of the child alleged that lover of the mother of the child killed Habibullah and hanged the body with the ceiling of their residence in absence of his mother Marjina Begum on Friday evening. ‘The child was killed as he observed events of illicit affairs’, Shahjahan added.
Nasirul Haque Khan, sub inspector, Bagharpara police station told newsmen that being informed by the locals the police recovered the body from their residence on Friday night. ‘It is not clear whether the child was killed or committed suicide,’ he added.
Post mortem operation of the dead was made at Jessore Medical College Hospital after filing an unnatural death case with Bagharpara police station.
