Minor boy killed in city bomb explosion

A minor boy was killed and his elder sister sustained splinter injures due to explosion of a bomb in the capital’s Lalbagh area on Thursday afternoon.
No one has yet been arrested in this connection. Even, the police did not find out the reason behind the incident.

The deceased has been identified as Miraj, 7, son of Yaqub Ali. The name of the injured sister of Miraj is Neha. A gang of miscreants hurled a bomb into Yaqub’s tin-shed house around 4:30pm, leaving his son Miraj and daughter Neha, 10, critically wounded with splinter injuries.
Miraj and Neha were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where on duty doctor declared Miraj dead. Neha is undergoing treatment at DMCH.  
On information, police rushed to the spot but failed to find out any reason behind the explosion, Deputy Commissioner Mofiz Uddin Ahmed of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Lalbagh) said.
