A minor boy was killed and three others injured in a road crash in Devpur area of Sadar Upazila in the district on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Titu, 14, son of Md Saleh Ahmed. Witnesses said the accident took place when a taxi collided head-on with a goods laden truck coming from opposite direction around 10:00pm, leaving Titu and three others critically injured. Later, the locals rushed the injured to the Chandpur General Hospital where the doctord declared Titu dead.
ASI Saidur Rahman of Sadar Police Station said they have seized the truck but the driver managed to flee from the scene.
