UNB, Sherpur :
A minor boy drowned in a river at Khaldanga village in Nalitabari upazila on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Tauhid Miah, 6, son of Ansar Ali, a resident of the village. Family sources said Tauhid slipped into water and drowned while playing on the bank of the Bhogai river near his house at the village around 3.00pm.
Later, locals rescued Tauhid and rushed him to Nalitabari upazila health complex where on-duty doctors declared him dead.
Victim’s father confirmed the incident.
