A minor boy drowned in a pond in Shah Makhdum Mazar area of the city on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mim, 4, son of Firoz, a resident of the area.
SM Abdus Sobhan, officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station, said Mim had gone missing on Thursday.
Later his body was spotted afloat in a pond near Shah Makhdum Shrine in the afternoon.
