Seven people, including a 10-year-old boy, were found dead in different places under Gazipur Sadar, Sreepur and Kaliakor upazilas in Gazipur district on Thursday.
On information, police recovered slaughtered body of Sayem Mian, 10, a class V student of AL Madian Pre-cadet School, son of Rafiqul Islam, from Barmi Bazar area in Sreepur upazila at 11:30am.]
Police, however, recovered a young girl’s body, aged about 17, from Goshinga Jungle, and the body of Mansura Akhter, 20, from Porhladpur village in Sreepur upazila.
Manchura’s husband has been arrested on suspicion.
Besides, hanging body of a female worker identified as Khaleda Begum, 28, in Dainkani area was also recovered from Kaliakoir upazila. Police suspect that Khaleda might have been killed over family feud. Kaliakor thana duty officer Sub-Inspector Jahirul Islam said, Khaleda’s father Abdul Kahleque filed a case and her husband fled away since the killing took place.
On the other hand, police recovered an aged woman, Alemon Nessa, 60, from Deshipara area of the city. In another incident, Hasan Selim, 45, owner of Best Wear Knitting Garments,
was found dead at his rented house at Kathora of the city, in the morning.
Family members claimed that miscreants killed him and looted TK 6.75 lakh From the house. Another incident, police recovered a body of man named Badhan Chandra, 35, from Dhaka-Tangail rail tracks in Shalna hailing from Fulpur In Mymensingh district. police suspected that Badhan committed suicide by jumping on the rail tracks from the flyover Dhaka-Mymensingh in the area on Wednesday.
