State Minister for Social Welfare Nuruzzaman Ahmed MP visited the Raozan Mini Zoo inside the Girichaya Tourism Complex beside the Chittagong-Rangamati Highway on Wednesday .
The minister was accompanied by local lawmaker and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Railway ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury MP,Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Md. Zillur Rahman Chowdhury, Upazila Chairman Alhaj Ehsanul Haider Chowdhury Babul, ADC Mominur Rashid, Director of Soeial welfare Directorate Dr. Naznin Kauser Chowdhury, Additional director Bandana Das, Deputy Director Shahidul Islam, UNO Md. Shamim Hossain, Asstt. Commissioner (Land) Junaid Kabir Sohag A mong others, Acting President of Upazila AL Kamaluddin, Vice Chairman Noor Mohammad, Fouzia Khanam Mina, chairman of Urkirchar UP Abdul Jabbar Sohel, AL leader Jasimuddin and local leaders of the ruling party were present on the occasion.
Panel Mayor of Raozan poursava Jamir uddin Parvez welcomed the visiting guests at the Girichaya Complex and apprised the differenent species of animals, birds in the zoo.
The Minister went round the entire zoo complex and thanked the zoo authority for establishing a rare Zoo in this area.
During his visit at Girichaya, the state minister distributed 5 richshaw vans, 15 rickshawss, two sewing machines, 5 cows and 2 goats to the deserving poors to make them self reliance at a simple ceremony.
Besides, the minister also distributes elderly allowance to 752 , widow allowance to wo 242 women and disabled allowance card to 161 crippled persons .
The stateminister exchanged views with the local AL leaders and govt officials during his visit. The minister also exchanged views with the participants of a annual pinic of West Guzra Shishu Niketan inside the Girichaya tourist complex as they arranged a picnic party in the Girichaya complex. The minister passed some times with children of shishu niketan there, our Raozan correspoundent Mir Aslam said.
