bdnews24.com :Communication Minister Obaidul Quader has ordered to ‘close’ a depot manager of BRTC in Chittagong for going on leave without prior permission of the authorities concerned.Mohammad Kamruzzaman, manager (operation) of a Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) depot in Baluchhara area went on a leave without informing authorities concerned.The minister gave the directive after not finding the depot manager during his surprise visit there on Saturday noon. When the minister learnt that Kamruzzaman was on leave without informing the authorities concerned, he closed him immediately from his charges. Quader told reporters, “Manager (operation) Kamruzzaman has been closed for dereliction of duty. I’ve talked to the BRTC Chairman about this.”The order would be made effective immediately, he said. “Before coming here, I had phoned Kamruzzaman and asked him about his whereabouts. He told me that he was at his office. But I found him absent after coming here.” “The BRTC Chairman had asked manager Kamruzzaman not to go on leave on Saturday. But he violated the order,” the minister added.
