Mini Rugby Tournament begins

The 5th Health First Mini Rugby Tournament began at the Paltan Maidan on Friday.
Director (Sports) of National Sports Council Narayan Chandra Devnath inaugurated the rugby meet as the chief guest. Chairman of the Tournament Committee Rashiduzzaman Serniabat, Managing Director of Monowara Hospital Private Limited Mir Imam Hossain,
Vice-President of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Abdullah Al Jahir Shawpon, General Secretary of BRF Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of the Federation Sayeed Ahmed, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Md Sirajul Islam were present at the inaugural ceremony.
In the day’s matches, Shaheed Nabi High School blanked Madartek Abdul Aziz Higher Secondary School by 10-0 points, Saint Gregory’s High School crushed Maniknagar Model High School by 18-5 points, Cambrian School overpowered Shaheed Nabi High School by 13-0 points, Maniknagar Model High School overwhelmed Haidar Ali School & College by 20-0 points, Cambrian School thrashed Madartek Abdul Aziz Higher Secondary School by 30-0 points, Karatitola CMS Memorial School & College defeated Kamalapur School & College by 5-0 points.
Today the final match and the concluding ceremony will be held at the same venue.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation and Treasurer of Bangladesh Olympic Association Razibuddin Ahmed Chapal will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
