Saint Gregory’s champs in Boys’ Group,
Sunnydale champs in Girls’ Group

Saint Gregory’s High School emerged champions of the Boys’ Group of the Milk Man Mini Handball Tournament while Sunnydale became champions of the Girls’ Group on Sunday.
In the final of the Boys’ Group, Saint Gregory’s High School defeated Dhaka Residential Model School by 23-15 goals after completing the first session with a 10-7 goals lead at the Shaheed (Capt) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Diganta of Saint Gregory’s High School was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
In the final of the Girls’ Group, Sunnydale beat Scholastica by 4-2 goals at the same venue.
Sunnydale trailed the first half 0-1.
Silwat Kader of Sunnydale was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
After the final matches President of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) AKM Nurul Fazal Bulbul distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest while former vice-president of BHF and Managing Director of Orient Bread Mahbubuzzaman was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of BHF Asaduzzaman Kohinoor presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
Chairman of the Tournament Committee Farhana Haque, Secretary of the Tournament Committee Lajul Karim Kasturi and Coordinator of the Tournament Committee Md Selim Mia Babu were present at the time.

Independence Day Volleyball
to be held from March 10

The Independence Day Volleyball Competition will be held at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium from March 10 to March 15. Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and five local teams will participate in the six-day long volleyball competition.
Bangladesh Volleyball Federation invited Nepal, India and Sri Lanka to participate in the volleyball competition and Nepal, India have given their consent to participate in the volleyball tournament. Sri Lanka have not yet said okay to take part in the volleyball competition.
