IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin beat Zhu Yi of China and Shirin lost to Saparova Sitora of Uzbekistan in 8th round games in the open section of Asian Continental Chess Championships (Open and women’s championships) now being held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
In the men’s section, Minhaz Uddin earned 5 points while Shirin bagged 2.5
points after the 8th round games held on Thursday last.
