IM Minhaz uddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy now took solo lead in the points table of 40th National B Chess Championship with full 5 points after the 5th round games now being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room.
FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed,FM Debaraj Chatterjee and Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan following the leaders with 3.5 points each.
In the 5th round games held on Friday evening, Minhaz beat FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, Nasir drew with Debaraj and Mostafa beat M Jamal Uddin.
