IM Minhazuddin Ahmed of Bangladesh Navy and FM Debaraj Chaterjee of Titas Club took joint lead in the points table of the 40th National B Chess Championship with 5-5 points after the 6th round games being held at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room. FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, Delwar Hossain, FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman and Mohammad Sagar closely followed the leaders with 5 points each.
In the 6th round games held on Saturday, Minhaz split points with Nasir, Debaraj beat Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, FM Aminul Islam split points with FM M Saif Uddin, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag drew with Abu Hanif, Sagar beat Shafiq Ahmed, Delwar beat WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin, Fahad beat Uten and Sherajul Kabir split points with Saiful Islam Chowdhury.
