When Arindam Sil announced last year his next will be a hardcore thriller starring Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta in the lead it doubled the excitement of all his fans. Arindam too was super excited about his initial casting. But then, it went through a major revamp in casting raising a lot questions. Eventually the film which was supposed to be bankrolled by SVF was shelved after the shoot was called off earlier this year.
The casting change of Khela Jakhon came with a huge surprise at that time. Instead of Sayani Gupta, Mimi Chakraborty was chosen for the female lead Urmi. Abir Chatterjee who was supposed to play Urmi’s husband allegedly turned down the role which was given to Anirban Bhattacharya. Tanushree Chakraborty was also roped in to play a key role in the thriller.
