The slain militant Shamim’s body “who was killed in a suicide attack on an under construction barracks at the Rapid Action Battalion -RAB camp” has been handed over to Anjuman Mufidul Islam after three-and-a-half years on Sunday.
Nazmul Haque, RAB-1 law officer (senior SP) confirmed the matter to the media.
He said the youth was identified as Shamim, 25, from Narsingdi. His father’s name is Saidur Rahman. Shamim was abroad at once. The new JMB member Shamim was killed in a suicide attack on March 17, 2016 at a RAB camp in Ashkona near Hazrat Shahjalal Airport.
“The identity of the deceased was confirmed by the RAB on the basis of the passport. However, when the family of the deceased refused to accept the body, the body was handed over to Anjuman Mufidul after due process.
