Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque on Friday said militants are the enemies of the country and so they must be resisted.
He said this while speaking as chief guest in an anti militancy community policing rally held on the newly constructed investigating centre premises at Rohonpur under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district in the evening. It was held with the superintendent of police of Chapainawabganj TM Mojahidul Islam in the chair.
Among others, law maker of Chapainawabganj -2 (Nachole, Gomostapur, Bholahat) constituency Md. Golam Mostofa Biswas, deputy inspector general of police of Rajshahi range M. Khurshid Hossain, administrator of Chapainaawabganj Zila Parishad Moinuddin Mondal, member secretary of Chapainawabganj district unit of Community Policing NSM Mahbubur Rahman Mintu and others spoke in the meeting.
