President of Workers Party, Chittagong district Advocate Abu Hanif said the recent militant attacks so enforced aimed at saving the death row convict Jamaat leader. He disclosed it while addressing the anti-militancy rally held in city on Friday evening at Shaheed Minar as chief guest. In his address, Abu Hanif reiterated their pledge for trial of the war criminals if the 14 party alliance came into power.
He also said western capitalist nations trying to turn Bangladesh into a militant country and with the concept of so called IS , different groups of militants formed in the country using the name of IS. He said the people of Bangladesh will defeat this militancy with the spirit of liberation war. Presidium member of workers party Sharif Chowhan conducted the rally duly attended by the leaders and activists of the workers party of Chittagong . After termination of the rally, a protest rally brought out from the Shaeed Minar square which paraded the city streets which ended at Chittagong old railway station, sources said.
