Milestone School and College virtually observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day with due respect and solemnity on December 14, 2020. Milestone School and College has chalked out elaborate programmes to commemorate the December 14 tragedy. The programs adopted were- hoisting of black flags, hoisting of the national flag half-mast, Documentary display, Recitation of patriotic poems, A special memorial discussion and prayer for the martyrs.
Marking the Martyred Intellectuals day, Milestone School and College virtually organized a special memorial discussion. Principal of the Milestone College Lt. Colonel M. Kamaluddin Bhuiyan (retd.) was virtually present at the discussion as chief speaker. During the discussion, Senior lecturer of the English department Mr. Zainul Abedin and lecturer of the Biology department Mr. Saifullah Masum spoke to the students about the cruel history of the Martyred Intellectuals Day. Founder and adviser of the Milestone School and College Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.), Principal of the Milestone Preparatory KG School Mrs. Rifat Alam, Administrative director of the Milestone College Md. Masud Alam and others attended virtually from their respective positions.
Lecturer of the Bangla department Soheli Nazir was in the presentation all the events of Martyred Intellectuals Day. At the end of the discussion, Senior lecturer of the Bangla department Mrs. Jannatul Ferdous Rima read patriotic poetry.
