Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions and the districts of Rangmati, Cumilla, Chandpur, Noakhali, Moulavibazar, Feni and Pabna and it may continue.
A Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin on Saturday said, adding rain or thundershowers are likely to occur in some parts of country.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and the regions of Jashore, Kushtia, Cumilla and Noakhali, it added.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin.
Country’s maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 39.0 degrees Celsius at Khulna and minimum temperature on Saturday was recorded 23.0 degrees Celsius at Syedpur in Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am yesterday was recorded 88 millimeters (mm) at Syedpur in Rangpur division.
