The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in four districts, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9am on Tuesday.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chandpur, Rajshahi, Jashore and Khulna and it may continue,” said the weather bulletin issued for the next 24 hours commencing at 9am yesterday.
“Rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern part of the country,”it added.
Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the
country. However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged
over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 35.6 degrees Celsius at Khulna, while the minimum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 21.8 degrees Celsius at Tarash in Rajshahi division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Tuesday was recorded 82 mm
at Dimla in Rangpur division.
