The ongoing mild heat wave would continue in different parts of the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
“Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia and it may continue”, said a met office bulletin issued for the next 24 hours commencing at 9am on Tuesday. Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Sylhet division and at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, it added.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
However, day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 38.8 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was 20.4 degrees Celsius at Srimangal.
