Mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the districts of Gopalgonj, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Pabna, Rajshahi, Barishal and Patuakhali and it may abate from some places, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Depart-ment (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9am on Wednesday.
Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Khulna and Barishal divisions, it added, reports BSS.
However, the day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 37.6 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum temperature on Wednesday was 23.5 degrees Celsius jointly at Chattogram and Kutubdia.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Wednesday was reco rded 59 mm at Maijdee Court in Chattogram division.
