Eid-e-Miladunnabi, the day of birth and demise of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM),, will be observed in the country on December 25 as the moon of Rabiul Awal was not sighted in Bangladesh sky on Saturday.The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee, said a handout.The meeting was held at the Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office with committee vice-chairman and Religious Affairs Secretary Chowdhury M Babul Hasan in the chair.Secretary of Islamic Foundation M Ohidul Islam, senior imam of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Muhammad Mizanur Rahman and Chief Information Officer Tasir Ahmed, among others, attended the meeting.
