A milad mahfil was held on Friday at Bangabhaban marking the 39th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, also the National Mourning Day.
President Abdul Hamid attended the milad at the Darbar Hall after Asr prayers. A special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and other martyred members of his family. Rezwan Ahmed Toufiq, MP, officials and employees of Bangabhaban attended the milad. The Pesh Imam of Bangabhaban Jam-e-Mosque, Moulana Saiful Kabir, conducted the milad.
