At the advent of winter, the flocks of migratory birds are coming in many places of Nilpahmari and the crowds of winter guest birds have increased and they are mostly found in Binnadighi (Nilasagar), Teesta Barrage, Teesta irrigation canal with many big and small bills and water bodies within the District. Their sweet chirping sound has covered the place and people with fascination.
Officially bird hunting has been banned but in the meantime many people have been accused of hunting birds with a gun. The source said, law has been made to prevent the bird hunting. But it is not possible for the Government or the Administration alone. So it is necessary to create public awareness for this. And the local residents or fishermen can keep the biggest role in this work. The crowd has also increased in many places to see the Migratory birds but it should be keep in mind that the crowd does not create any problem with the birds.A Volunteer Organization of Saidpur, named Setubandhan is working in different way to save the birds, to save the nature.

There are at least 65 species of migratory birds in the thousands. These birds should be kept safe for these four months. They cannot tolerate loud music or loud sound of the vehicles. So it is the duty of every local resident to save the birds from every disturbance especially including the bird hunters.
