The mid-term players’ transfer window of TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football started from Sunday and will come to an end on April 21. After ending the players’ transfer window, the second phase of BPL Football will kick-off.
After the first phase, the reigning champions Bashundhara Kings led the points table bagging 26 points from 11 matches. Dhaka Abahani Limited took the second spot grabbing 22 points from as many matches. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited and Chittagong Abahani Limited jointly took the third position collecting 21 points each from their respective 11 outings.
Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited achieved the fourth position earning 17 points from as many matches.
After the first phase, Chittagong Abahani Limited’s Nigerian forward Peter Thankgod is the highest scorer with 13 goals. Bshundhara’s Brazilian forward Robson Robinho is the second highest scorer with 10 goals.
Bashundhara’s Nigeria-born Bangladeshi Eleta Kingsley scored five goals.
The participating booters of Bangladesh Premier League scored six hat-tricks. Peter Thankgod scored two hat-tricks. Dhaka Abahani Limited’s Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited’s Nigerian forward Mathew Chinedu, Saif Sporting Club’s Nigerian forward Emeka Ogbugh, Bangladesh Police Football Club’s Afghan striker Amiruddin Sharifi scored one hat-trick each.
