Mexico to boost business ties with Bangladesh

The business leaders of Guadalajara, the third-largest metropolitan city of Mexico, expressed their interest to invest in Bangladesh’s thriving sectors like ICT, apparel, furniture, processed food, and import of decorative lights.
The Mexican businesses shown their eagerness during a webinar titled “Bangladesh & Mexico: Potentials & Opportunities” organised by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Mexico City on Thursday with the assistance of a local dignitary named Francisco Pena Manjarrez.
During the webinar, Bangladesh Ambassador in Mexico Abida Islam made a presentation on the socio-economic developments of Bangladesh highlighting the potentials of important sectors like RMG, Pharmaceuticals, Health and Medical Equipment, IT, Jute products, Leather and Footwear, Light Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Equipment, processed Agro-based food, automobiles, ceramic, plastic and shipbuilding to the participants. She also elaborated on the investment-friendly policies of the government including the lucrative investment incentives.
