Orient Sporting Club beat Uttara Sporting Club by five wickets in the day’s only match of the Dhaka Metropolis First Division T20 Cricket Tournament on Wednesday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Uttara SC scored 151 runs for six wickets in 20 overs.
Opener Rafsan Al Mahamud scored team highest 60 runs off 55 balls with five fours and two sixes while Shahariar (27) Rakin Ahmed (20) and skipper Rajib Hasan (not out 19) were the other double digit scorers for Uttara SC.
Tarek Aziz, Rifat Pradhan, Al-Amin, Arafat Hossain and Masum-Ud-daulah took one wicket each Orient SC.
Orient SC reached the winning target scoring 153 runs for five wickets in 19.4 overs.
Arafat Hossain scored 46 runs off 27 balls with two fours and four sixes, Imrul Karim scored 43 runs off 33 balls with four fours and two sixes while skipper Masum Ud-daulah (18), Mayenuddin Rubel (17) and Adnan Islam (16) were the other double digit scorers for Orient SC.
Rajib Prasad grabbed two wickets for 26 runs while Lalmon Hossain, Arif Reza and Rajib Hasan took one wicket each for Uttara SC.
