A mobile court has fined Dhaka Metro Rail Project contractors Tk 1 lakh over allegations of contributing to air pollution.
The Department of Environment (DoE) mobile court, led by Magistrate Kazi Tamzid Ahmed, imposed the fine on Wednesday.
The contractors – Tekken Corporation, Abdul Monem Ltd, and Abenikko
A mobile court has fined Dhaka Metro Rail Project contractors Tk 1 lakh over allegations of contributing to air pollution.
The Department of Environment (DoE) mobile court, led by Magistrate Kazi Tamzid Ahmed, imposed the fine on Wednesday.
The contractors – Tekken Corporation, Abdul Monem Ltd, and Abenikko
were jointly responsible for the construction work of the railroads from Uttara to Motijheel under contract number CT5.
Magistrate said, “The contractors were accused of further contributing towards air pollution through the use of their construction equipment in the open spaces; therefore we have imposed the fine upon them.”
