All praise and thanks are Allah’s, the Lord of the world, and peace be upon the trustworthy Prophet, his dynasty and his companions.
The national day of Saudi Arabia is an important day at state and national level. It commemorates the 85th unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and return to the history in 1351 H. corresponding to 1932 AD. The founder of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia King Abdul Aziz bin Abdur Rahman Al Saud – may Allah bless him – was able to unify the kingdom and assemble the people of Arabian peninsula in one line and in political social unit.
The hearts are filled up with pride and strength while we see that the flag of Tawheed is flattering in the sky of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It pushes us to look in the depth of the near history so that we can feel the greatness of events after which this flag has risen. The challenge faced by the risers of this flag under the leadership of the falcon of the peninsula King Abdul Aziz – may Allah make his grave delightful. At this moment we understand the importance of commemoration of the national day of the Kingdom. That is the day in which this holy land has said bye-bye to all ages of backwardness and dispersion, causes of ruin and destroy to stay on strong earth along with it will knock all doors of development and civilization so that it can promote after it to the peak of wide glory.
King Abdul Aziz -May Allah make his grave delightful – planted a good blessed plant which undertook his honorable, children after him. The gripping was strong handhold with seriousness, loyalty and perseverance. Those works have spoken before utterance and production has witnessed before statement. So the Kingdom has become a model which may be followed up and a light which may be guide in development and growth in different fields of knowledge, economics, culture and civilization.
In these days, while commemorating our national day, we try to present all values, thought, sacrifices and utmost endeavor which accompanied in building this gigantic territory in order to express love and appreciation which is hidden in our hearts for this blessed country as well as for those people to whom goes the credit after the Almighty Allah for welfare and stability which our country is enjoying.
This is the blessing of the Almighty Allah on this sacred country that He has selected for it leaders according to its high position and characteristics. So its journey to welfare and growth did not stop since Allah has made this country unified by the hand of its founder – may Allah bless him – and his children after him till the era of prosperity of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz.
The Kingdom has witnessed in few years civilizational leaps which have no precedence in all sectors. The Kingdom has achieved within a short period of time what other countries did not achieve in hundreds of years. If we want to talk about these paramount productions, it is in need of enormous volumes for its explanation. What this country has achieved in the fields of economics, education and security it is difficult to describe it as well as it is hard to count it. It has become a model in its surrounding region in stability, prosperity and development.
It is also obligatory to discuss on this occasion the great importance stressed by the country for Saudi people, their education, efforts to rehabilitate and train them in different fields. Basic education has been spread in all corners of the country. Big universities, specialized educational institutions, programs of education abroad which has already given and will give good fruit in general by the grace of Allah.
It may be mentioned in this august occasion the enormous services rendered by the Kingdom for Arabic and Islamic nation. It is not a matter of strange for this country. It is a place of revelation, starting point of heavenly message and qibla of Muslims. It has given preference and emphasis since its establishment on Islam and Muslims. So it has built Alla’s mosques in all parts of the world beginning the Two Holy Mosques which have witnessed in the rein of the Saudi government the biggest expansion throughout all ages. So, the Hajj rituals have become very easy after it had been very difficult. The Holy Mosques have become pride for all Muslims. The comfort of the pilgrims of Allah’s house and the visitors of the mosque of the Prophet (peace be upon him) has been given most priority to provide them with all sorts of comforts and services in all possible ways for this country witnessed by the farers and nears.
After this it has begun printing of the Holy Quran for distribution of millions of copies translated into different languages so that it may be available for every Muslim whatever may be his language and place. To focus on its leading role in the region and its stress on the Muslims affairs the issues of the Islamic Ummah have got all support from the Kingdom in the international forums and making international decision, even it has formed a strong element for the Arabic and Islamic voice in the places of dialogues irrespective of different organizations, commissions and establishments supported by what Allah has bestowed upon it from spiritual and economic position. Its support has become very clear in its quick advancement towards relief of the affected by disaster whether it is in Islamic countries or others.
So the Kingdom will remain always as the Kingdom of humanity as fast comer of relief for affected and needy people.
The foreign policy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the rein of its founder concentrated on the firm basis and strong principle derived from the fundamentals of true Islamic religion and original Arabian tradition, the important feature of foreign policy of Saudi Arabia is to work for supporting the Arabian and Islamic solidarity and to protect the righteous Arabian and Islamic issues and not to interfere into the internal affairs of any country.
As regards foreign policy whether Arabic, Islamic and international, the Kingdom in the rein of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has recorded high quality of leadership in support of the Islamic issues, defence of Islam, manifest of highness of its message, adopt of stance of peace and moderation, fighting of extremism and radicalism of international dialogue among the followers of religion and culture, contribution to achieve the economic balance, equality of facilities provide facilities of standard livelihood for the nations, These are works and initiatives which contributed besides things attained by the King – may Allah protect him – distinguished characteristics of leadership and noble attributes in showing his positions as world leader. These activities have also participated in keeping up the position of the Kingdom as a leading country and led it to enter into the club of G-20 summit, so that it became the maker of the global economic decision.
The terrorism faced by the Kingdom with bravery firmness and clear strategic foresightedness has been driven away by the firmness of the personalities and the struggle of leadership and people. The Kingdom has achieved unprecedented success in the field of combating terrorism by experiment which is praised by all. Moreover, it has become an example which is followed in global level. May I indicate to the international conference on combating terrorism held in Riyadh in 2005 under the kind patronization of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz which proves the seriousness of the righteous leadership to combat this criminal phenomenon?
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ahead of the global countries since its aid towards the developing countries has reached to 5.45% of its GDP when the United Nations has taken a resolution for the donor countries to provide 0.7% from their GDP. The aid provided by the big developed countries did not reach the level provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the developing countries.
Saudi Development Fund is regarded as main institute of Saudi aid for growth of developing countries. The Kingdom is in leading position among the countries which run quickly for relief of the people affected by natural calamity, civil war by which some Arabic and Islamic countries have been already affected. That is through organizations and national committee supported by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh are strong and extra ordinary. The relations of the Kingdom with all presidents, prime ministers, governments and political parties in Bangladesh are very strong from the year 1971. The Saudi nation is tied with the Bangladeshi nation through strong relations as near about two and a half millions are working in the Kingdom in all sectors. They are participating in the works of development and building. The Kingdom has still been recruiting many people from of Bangladesh. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz – may Allah protect him – has issued a Royal decree to correct the position of Bangladeshi workers visiting the stay rules and approve on transferring sponsors.
The Saudi nation and its leadership always appreciate Bangladeshi friendly nation wishing from the Almighty Allah to continue blessings of security and peace for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh irrespective of governments and people and more progress and prosperity.
In conclusion, I pray to Allah to continue the glory of the country, strength of its leadership, prosperity of its nationals and help us all to discharge duties in full manner so that the country may remain high above the peak of glory by the grace of Allah. May Allah protect our beloved King, leader of the Ummah Salman Bin Abdul Aziz and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Naif Bin Abdul Aziz – may Allah bestow upon them good health, wellbeing and grant them long life as assets of Islam and Muslims.
