Police recovered the body of a mentally unstable young man named Zubair Ahmad (18) from a pond in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. The body was recovered from the pond in front of West Budhpasha Ibtedayi Madrasah of Karmadha Union of the upazila on Thursday. August 4.
Zubair is the son of Zamir Ali of Tattiuli village of that union. The police quoted the locals as saying that on Thursday morning, the locals informed the police after seeing the body of a man floating in the water of the pond. Then the police went and recovered the body from the water of the pond. The recovered body is the son of Zamir Ali of Tattiuli village of that union. He was mentally unstable. Kulaura police station OC Md. Abduch Salek said that since there was no complaint from Zubair’s family, permission was given to bury the body without an autopsy.
