A mother was killed allegedly by her psychologically depressed son in city’s Dhakinkhan area on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Jahanara Akhter Lili, 48, wife of one Abu Taher.

The deceased was identified as Jahanara Akhter Lili, 48, wife of one Abu Taher.

Jahanara, her husband and son, Tanzil Ahmed, 25, lived in a tin-shade house in Madhyapara area of Dakshinkhan. Jahanara used to scold his son for his jobless life after graduation.
During a excited conversation on Saturday night, Tanzil strangled his mother to death using a towel.
Deceased’s brother filed a murder case against Tanzil.
Accused Tanzil has been arrested detained and the body of deceased was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
