A mentally challenged young man was crushed under a train in south side of Kushiara railway bridge in Feunchuganj upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nayem, 18, son of late Gafur Ali, a resident of Nurpur village of the upazila. Haripad Sarker, station master of Maizgaon station, said the Sylhet-bound Jalalabad train hit Naim while he was walking on the rail tracks in the morning, leaving him dead on the spot.
