Bangladesh men’s archery team eliminated from the pre quarterfinal after losing to USA by 0-6 sets in the recurve men’s team event of Archery World Cup Stage-3, which was held on Wednesday last night in Paris, France.
The Bangladesh archery team featuring Ruman Sana, Sagor Islam and Mohammmad Hakim Ahmed Rubel earlier confirmed their spot of pre quarterfinal after defeating Great Britain also by 6-0 sets in the round of 1/12 match.
In the recurve women’s team event, Bangladesh women’s archery team featuring promising archer Diya Siddique, Nasrin Akter and Famida Sultana also failed to reach the last four spot after losing to Chinese Taipei by 2-6 sets in the pre quarterfinal.
In the recurve division qualification round matches, Ruman Sana, Sagor Islam, Hakim Ahmed Rubel and Abdur Rahman Alif finished 25th, 48th, 52nd and 66th respectively while in the recurve women’s division Diya Siddique, Nasrin Akter, and Famida Sultana finished 43rd, 67th, and 76th respectively.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh men’s archery team finished 14th out of twenty eight teams in the recurve men’s team event while Bangladesh women’s archery team finished 19th position out of nineteen teams.
Ruman Sana and Diya Siddique finished 14th out of twenty eight teams in the recurve mixed team event.
