Bangladesh Mahila Parishad (BMP) arranged a virtual memorial meeting on human rights activist, organization’s Education and Cultural Affairs Secretary and Science and Technology Affairs Minister Architect Yeafesh Osman’s wife valiant freedom fighter Bula Osman.
BMP President Dr Fauzia Moslem chaired the meeting while it’s General Secretary Maleka Banu, Joint General Secretary Sima Moslem, Rokeya Sadan Secretary Nasreen Mansur, Director (Legal Advocacy and Lobby) Advocate Maksuda Akhter Laily and Bula Osman’s son Eshrar Osman recalled the life and works of the late woman leader and paid tributes to her memories.
One minute silence was observed at the outset of the meeting. Singers Bulbul Islam, Sharmin Shathi Islam, Dr Susmita Ahmed performed songs while Laila Afroz recited poems on the occasion, said a BMP press release .
Organization’s Executive Officer Runu Das presented the biography of Bula Osman.
On January 17, Bula Osman passed away while undergoing treatment at the city’s Combined Military Hospital (CMH) at the age of 70.
