City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin said , the corporation run unit-2 of Memon Maternity Hospital will be turned into a full-fledged general hospital from next year.
City Mayor disclosed it while addressing the officials of the Corporation at its conference hall on Tuesday .
It was unanimously decided in the meeting that the Memon Hospital Unit-2 will run as general hospital from January next aimed at extending better medicare facilities to the city dwellers at a comparatively less price. City mayor asked the officials of health department to work relentlessly for achieving the decision at earliest convenience.
He also asked the officials to process of appointing doctors, nurses and other service workers for the proposed hospital at earliest time. City mayor also enquired the present running conditions of the existing maternity centres, health centre, charitiable clinics in the city and asked the doctors to be more punctual in respective jobs . among others, Chief executive officer, Secretary and theExecutive Magistrate of CCC were present in the meeting, a CCC sources said.
