‘Members of all parties getting equal right in parliament’

According to the constitution, the next National Parliament election will be held under the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said the newly appointed Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament, Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku. He said this while talking to reporters after paying tribute to the martyrs who took part in the Liberation War at Savar National Memorial on Tuesday.
Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku said that the upcoming Jatiya Sangsad elections will be free, fair and impartial under the current government. Members of all parties are getting equal rights to speak in Parliament, Speaker’s job is to establish equal rights for all the opposition parties in Parliament.
He said that after being elected, all parliamentarians will be given the opportunity to express their views during the parliament as per the constitution and rules of procedure. I have taken an oath to fulfill this responsibility and I am determined. I will run the parliament with everyone. After paying tribute to the brave martyrs, he observed a minute of silence and signed the visitation book of the memorial.
